Exploring Seoul for the First Time

I just got to Seoul, and the first thing that hit me—lamig.

Not the kind you slowly adjust to. Yung pagbaba mo pa lang, ramdam mo na agad.

I was staying in Hongdae, so naturally, that’s where I started exploring.

Everything felt new, but not overwhelming.

The streets were busy, but not stressful. People were moving, shops were open, street performers were already out—even in the cold.

That part surprised me.

I expected people to stay indoors because of the weather, but it felt like the city just adjusted to it.

Life still goes on, just with thicker jackets.

I didn’t follow a plan that day.

I just walked.

From one street to another, checking random shops, stopping when something looked interesting, then moving again.

That’s when it started to sink in.

I’m in Seoul.

New place, different language, winter air, unfamiliar streets—but it didn’t feel uncomfortable.

It felt easy to get into.
