Myeongdong at night feels completely different from anywhere else in Seoul.
I went there after sunset, and the moment I stepped out—it was already busy.
Lights everywhere. Shops open. Food stalls lined up.
And the smell of food hits you immediately.
Even with the cold, people were out.
Walking, eating, shopping. Walang slowdown.
That’s what stood out.
Usually, when it’s that cold, you expect things to quiet down. But here, it felt like the opposite.
I just walked through the streets, no direction.
Stopped at random stalls, looked at menus, watched people order food I didn’t recognize.
It’s the kind of place where you don’t need a plan.
You just move with the crowd.
At some point, I realized I wasn’t even trying to “see” anything specific.
I was just there, taking it in.
And that’s what made it work.
