My First Night Walking Through Seoul

I arrived in Seoul and went out that same night.

No plan. Just wanted to see what the city felt like.

I was staying in Hongdae, so I stepped out and just started walking.

First thing I noticed—ang lamig.

Not the kind you can ignore. Yung ramdam mo agad.

But even with that, the streets were full.

People walking, eating, talking, performing. Hindi siya tahimik kahit gabi na.

That surprised me.

I just walked around without direction.

Passed by street performers, random shops, food stalls.

No specific destination.

At some point, I stopped and just stood there for a bit.

Looking around, taking everything in.

New country, winter weather, unfamiliar streets—but it didn’t feel uncomfortable.

It felt exciting.

That first night didn’t have a highlight.

No “main place.”

Just walking around Hongdae, feeling the city for the first time.

And somehow, that was enough.
