Volendam felt simple.
No big plans, no rush.
Just walking.
I arrived in the afternoon.
Weather was perfect.
Not too hot, not cold.
Yung sakto lang for walking without thinking about it.
The first thing I noticed was the water.
Open view.
Boats, reflections, people walking along the harbor.
It didn’t feel busy in a stressful way.
Just enough people to feel alive.
I was alone the whole time.
No pressure to do anything specific.
I just moved around.
Stop, look, walk again.
There were moments na wala ka talagang ginagawa.
Just standing there, looking at the view.
And somehow, that was enough.
I had coffee, sat for a bit, then continued walking.
No rush to finish anything.
No checklist.
After a few hours, I just took the bus back to Centraal.
Simple end to a simple day.
Volendam didn’t try to impress.
It just gave you space to slow down.
And sometimes, that’s all you need.
