Paris Food Experience: From Croissants to Escargot

Food in Paris wasn’t something I overplanned.

I didn’t have a long list of restaurants. I just ate based on where I was, what looked good, and what I wanted to try.

And honestly, everything I had turned out good.

Croissants and Macarons

These are the basics—but you have to try them.

I had croissants in a café and macarons in a mall.

Simple lang. Nothing fancy.

But even then, you can tell the difference. Quality is just there.

No need to overthink where to get them.

Escargot (First Time)

This one I wasn’t sure about.

I don’t usually eat anything “exotic,” so I didn’t know what to expect.

My friends brought me to a restaurant called Camille, and that’s where I tried it.

Surprisingly—I liked it.

Not weird, not uncomfortable. Just something new that actually tasted good.

La Crème de Paris (Notre Dame)

This was one of the more memorable stops.

I had a strawberry milkshake and a waffle with ground beef and egg on top.

I forgot the name of the dish—but I remember enjoying it.

It’s one of those places that’s popular, but still worth trying.

Hard Rock Café Paris

Also had a proper meal here.

Ordered:

  • spareribs
  • quesadillas
  • nachos

More familiar food, but still part of the experience.

Sometimes, you just want something you already know.

Random Food Stops

There was also a food spot in a market that I tried—but I forgot the name.

That’s the thing with this trip.

Not everything was planned.

Some of the meals just happened along the way.

Overall

Food in Paris didn’t feel complicated.

You don’t need to chase “the best” places all the time.

Even simple choices turn out good.

And for me, that made the experience easier—and more enjoyable.
