Shopping in Bangkok isn’t just one thing.
It’s a mix.
Malls, markets, and random grocery runs that somehow become part of your daily routine.
Malls: Easy and Comfortable
I spent a lot of time around malls this trip.
Main ones:
- Siam Paragon
- EmSphere
- Emporium
- MBK
Each one has a different feel.
Siam Paragon is more complete—especially for food.
MBK feels more straightforward, more practical.
You go in, walk around, eat, then leave.
No pressure.
Platinum and Pratunam
This is where it gets more focused.
Clothes, bulk buying, better prices.
Not as polished as malls—but that’s the point.
You walk, check, compare, then buy.
Good for pasabuy too.
Big C Runs
This became part of my routine.
Almost every day, I ended up in Big C.
Not planned.
Just happens.
You go in for one thing… then you see more.
What People Usually Ask For
Pasabuy items start adding up:
- cosmetics
- snacks
- Thai products
- mango sticky rice
- trending cheese sausage
Cart fills up faster than expected.
Shopping as Part of the Day
It wasn’t something I scheduled.
It just happened in between everything else.
Eat → walk → shop → repeat.
Sometimes you don’t even realize how much you’ve bought until the last day.
The Reality
Bangkok makes it easy to spend.
Not because you have to.
But because everything is accessible.
You see it, you want it, you get it.
And somehow, it all fits into your trip naturally.
