4 Days in Bangkok Itinerary (Slow Travel Edition)

This trip was simple.

No checklist. No pressure.

Just moving around Bangkok, seeing friends, eating, and doing everyday things.

Day 1 – May 19 (Arrival + Local Start)

Arrive in Bangkok.

Head to Silom and check in at The Siam Heritage Hotel.

Go out and explore the area.

Took the bus again—one of my favorite things in Bangkok.

I like their buses, especially the ones with wooden floors. It feels old but in a good way.

Later, visited Zy and Connie at their condo.

Had dinner at a local carinderia-style place.

Simple food, but good.

Good start to the trip.

Day 2 – May 20 (Siam + Khao San)

Head to Siam area.

Spent time around:

  • Siam Paragon
  • food court (Michelin stalls, but still affordable)

This became part of the routine.

Eat, walk, repeat.

At night, went to Khao San.

Different energy—more crowded, more active.

Ended the day with a foot massage.

Day 3 – May 21 (Shopping Day)

Focused on shopping.

Went to:

  • Platinum
  • Pratunam
  • MBK

This was more of a full shopping day.

In between, still eating, still walking.

Also passing by Big C for groceries—this happened almost every day.

Day 4 – May 22 (Chinatown + Experience)

Went to Chinatown.

Different vibe again.

More local, more street food, more movement.

Also visited:

  • KAWS Holiday

Tried a tuk-tuk going back to the hotel.

Short ride, but part of the experience.

Day 5 – May 23 (Last Day + Departure)

Last-minute shopping.

More pasabuy:

  • cosmetics
  • clothes
  • mango sticky rice
  • cheese sausage

Extra 20kg baggage added 😅

Head to the airport.

Stayed at Coral Lounge.

Then flight back to Abu Dhabi.

How the Trip Felt

Every day had structure—but not planned.

You just go out, do something, eat, shop, then repeat.

Bangkok makes it easy to move like that.
