Brussels felt… slow. In a good way.
I stayed with my cousin Camille in Zaventem, so the whole trip had that local vibe. Walang pressure. Walang checklist energy. Just going around the city with family.
Day 1 – City Center + Classics
We started around Brussels Central Station, then walked straight into the heart of the city.
First stop—Grand Place.
It’s one of those places na kahit madaming tao, you still pause for a bit. The buildings, the details, the whole square—it feels complete.
We didn’t rush it. Just walked around, took it in, wandered a bit.
From there, we went to Manneken Pis.
Honestly, maliit lang siya 😅 but it’s one of those “you have to see it” spots.
Then of course—waffles.
This one lived up to expectations. Warm, sweet, simple. Hindi complicated, but it works.
At some point, we went up for a view overlooking the city—near the top area around the city hall side. That was probably my favorite part of the day. Seeing everything from above, without rushing.
The whole day felt light.
Day 2 – Atomium + Slow Exploring
Second day was even more chill.
We headed to the Atomium, which looks exactly like how you see it online—but bigger when you’re actually there.
It’s a bit outside the center, so it felt like a different side of Brussels. Less crowded, more open.
After that, no strict plans.
We just moved around depending on the mood. Some walking, some stopping, some sitting. My cousins and aunt were basically my tour guides, so everything felt easy.
No pressure to “maximize” the day.
Just being there was enough.
