Out of everything I did in Paris, this was the most unexpected highlight.
Meeting old friends—after 20 years—in a place like Paris.
We met near the Eiffel Tower.
Just saying that still feels unreal.
From high school in LICS… to meeting again in Paris. Hindi ko rin inexpect na mangyayari yun.
They’re now a couple, living their life there, and I was just visiting—but for a moment, it didn’t feel like I was in a foreign place.
It felt familiar.
We had dinner, caught up, talked about everything that happened over the years.
No pressure. No awkwardness.
Parang tuloy lang.
After that, they drove me around the city.
We went through different areas, ended up walking along Champs-Élysées, checking shops, just spending time.
Simple things—but in a place like Paris, it hits differently.
That’s what made it meaningful.
You’re in a city that’s not yours, but you’re with people who know you.
That combination makes everything feel more grounded.
Out of all the places I went, all the things I saw—this is one of the moments that stayed with me.
Not because of where it happened.
But because of who I was with.
