Paris is known for big things—Eiffel Tower, museums, landmarks.
But what stayed with me were the small details.
The things you don’t really plan for.
The Butter
This one surprised me.
I didn’t expect to care about butter—but I did.
I liked it so much that I ended up bringing some home from La Grande Épicerie de Paris.
There’s just something about it. Simple, but different.
Not something I thought I’d remember—but I did.
Double-Decker Trains
First time I saw one, I paused.
Didn’t expect trains to have two levels.
It’s such a small thing, but it stood out.
Especially when you’re used to a different system.
Every Corner Feels Like a Photo
This is real.
You don’t need to look for “photo spots.”
You just walk, turn a corner, and it already looks like something worth capturing.
Buildings, streets, cafés—everything feels put together without trying too hard.
Cafés Everywhere
Not just famous cafés.
Even random ones look good.
You pass by one, then another, then another—and all of them feel like you could just sit there and stay for a while.
Very different from just going out for coffee.
Shopping Stops
Some of the places I went to:
- Galeries Lafayette
- Polène (bought bags for my sister)
- Supreme (pasalubong for friends)
Each one felt like part of the experience, not just shopping.
The Feeling
It’s hard to explain, but everything just felt… complete.
Not perfect. Not exaggerated.
Just a city that feels like itself.
Overall
It’s not always the main attractions that stay with you.
Sometimes it’s the small, random things.
The ones you didn’t plan.
The ones you didn’t expect to notice.
But somehow, those are the ones you remember the most.
